Ionian Weddings

Ionian Weddings, the destination wedding experts, is launching a digital moodboard that helps couples find their perfect venue or location in a couple of clicks.  This exciting new tool will generate a visual enquiry that is sent to Ionian Weddings’ consultants who can then suggest the best possible venues.  Couples can also share the images on social media.

On Valentine’s Day, Ionian Weddings is launching a new way to search for the perfect destination wedding venue.

The staff spent months sourcing beautiful photos from their own hundreds of weddings and venues and created Image-ine, (www.ionianweddings.co.uk/image-ine), a visual mood board designed to help couples capture the feel of their perfect dream wedding.

Couples can then send the images in the form of an enquiry to their expert wedding consultants who will contact them with the best venues based on their chosen images. They can also share the images on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google +, Tumblr or they can email them to friends & family.

Jane Stuart-Palikira, Co-Founder of Ionian Weddings says, “So many couples struggle to describe the look and feel of the type of wedding they are looking for and we realised it would be so much easier if they could enquire about a wedding simply using images.  It will also really help our wedding consultants to make the very best suggestions for them”.

About Ionian Weddings
Multi award winning Ionian Weddings was founded in 2007 by husband and wife team, Jane and Andreas Palikiras. The company organises more than 300 weddings a year in Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta and Croatia.

Ionian Weddings specialises in sourcing innovative and exciting venues, and has intimate knowledge of each venue and destination offered. Examples include a Maltese castle, private villas and beaches, vineyards and the San Francesco Cloisters in Sorrento. In 2013 they organised the first wedding to take place at the underground Lake Melissani in Kefalonia.

The overseas wedding market has grown by over 26% since 2005, with one in five UK couples choosing to get married abroad. Cost, weather and the option to have a more intimate wedding are cited as some of the reasons for this choice, with the cost of a wedding abroad totalling approximately one third of the cost of the average UK wedding.

Italy has got to be one of the most romantic destinations in the world, in fact it’s where Mr Lilguys and I got engaged, in a quaint and rather eccentric hotel in Lucca at the end of a wonderful 10 day holiday driving around Tuscany using satnav with a warped sense of humour!

Whatever the style of wedding you are looking to have, Wed in Italy can help you out.

Raffaella Alflatt founded the company ‘WedinItaly’, with one purpose: to grant couples their wish of having the perfect destination wedding in Italy.

So..What is the wedding of your dreams?

Vintage Wedding in Tuscany

Maybe it’s a blow-out party with friends gathering from all over the world, where the Champagne runs like water and there’s dancing under the stars until they disappear behind the dawn.

Could it be at a cliffside villa overlooking the Mediterranean, or a medieval Castle in the Tuscan hills?
