One bride-to-be will win an Alfred Angelo wedding dress at the Wedding Wonder Show on Sunday 29th March 2015.

Brides that are still searching for that dream dress should take a look at the amazing gown available to win at St James Park on Sunday. The Alfred Angelo wedding dress has been donated to the Wedding Wonder Show charity draw by Simplicity Weddings and entries into the draw will help raise money to build a school in Africa.

All of the money raised from the Wedding Wonder Show on Sunday will be going directly to the school. Other fantastic prizes will be available on the day including beauty products, wedding cakes, wedding entertainment, accessories and more.

Savvy Underwear Solution Dressing for Bridesmaids

Wild Parsley

A wedding is the most important day in any woman’s life.  However, as any bride will also know, the wedding day is not just about the bride, it’s important her bridesmaids are the centre of attention too.

As women, it’s no secret that we are often guilty of choosing glamour over comfort.  Your bridesmaids need to be looking both ultra glamorous and feeling comfortable from dawn until dusk so they can focus on the bride and not worry about their outfit or their underpinnings.

Wild Parsley Multiback Bra-White Silk Black Lace Band no clothing

With the arrival of the innovative new Multiback bra from lingerie label Wild Parsley, there is now a stylish, elegant and comfortable solution to wearing a bra with low backed or backless dresses.

Wild Parsley Multiback Bra-Pink Silk Crystal Snowflake Band no clothing

The Multiback bra provides the security, comfort and support you expect of a traditional bra up to size 38E.  Simply purchase one set of cups in your normal size and a back band from the extensive and expanding range that matches your bridesmaid outfit. The back bands are available in cotton and silk and a variety of colours and patterns.  You can even add lace and crystal embellishments, when you want to make a feature of your back.

Wild Parsley Multiback Bra-Red Silk Band with clothing

Each bra is finished with a slim ribbon of lace across the neckline to ensure the bra appears smooth under clothing.  The cups are supplied with 2 shoulder straps and 1 halter strap, all of which can be adjusted for the perfect fit.  The back band is secured to the cups underneath the arm on both sides by a traditional hook and eye fastening with 2 adjustment settings.

Plus, once the wedding day and bridesmaid duties are over, these bras can be worn again for another occasion.  Not only versatile, the Multiback is also a savvy investment, as once you have purchased a set of cups you need only purchase more back bands to wear the bra with a multitude of different outfits.

This summer, why not find your perfect Multiback bra on the Wild Parsley website, you can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Rustic Chalk is a new take on the incredibly popular chalkboard cake, combining bleached wood with a vintage frame and pastel chalk flowers for a pretty meadow look.

Two for Joy is the most elegant, opulent of the designs with distressed metal, gold-edged flowers and ruffles, pearlised feathers and a pair of magpies for a beautiful finsihing sentiment.

New Digital Wedding Moodboard Helps Couples Find Their Perfect Venue

Ionian Weddings

Ionian Weddings, the destination wedding experts, is launching a digital moodboard that helps couples find their perfect venue or location in a couple of clicks.  This exciting new tool will generate a visual enquiry that is sent to Ionian Weddings’ consultants who can then suggest the best possible venues.  Couples can also share the images on social media.

On Valentine’s Day, Ionian Weddings is launching a new way to search for the perfect destination wedding venue.

The staff spent months sourcing beautiful photos from their own hundreds of weddings and venues and created Image-ine, (, a visual mood board designed to help couples capture the feel of their perfect dream wedding.

Couples can then send the images in the form of an enquiry to their expert wedding consultants who will contact them with the best venues based on their chosen images. They can also share the images on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google +, Tumblr or they can email them to friends & family.

Jane Stuart-Palikira, Co-Founder of Ionian Weddings says, “So many couples struggle to describe the look and feel of the type of wedding they are looking for and we realised it would be so much easier if they could enquire about a wedding simply using images.  It will also really help our wedding consultants to make the very best suggestions for them”.

About Ionian Weddings
Multi award winning Ionian Weddings was founded in 2007 by husband and wife team, Jane and Andreas Palikiras. The company organises more than 300 weddings a year in Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta and Croatia.

Ionian Weddings specialises in sourcing innovative and exciting venues, and has intimate knowledge of each venue and destination offered. Examples include a Maltese castle, private villas and beaches, vineyards and the San Francesco Cloisters in Sorrento. In 2013 they organised the first wedding to take place at the underground Lake Melissani in Kefalonia.

The overseas wedding market has grown by over 26% since 2005, with one in five UK couples choosing to get married abroad. Cost, weather and the option to have a more intimate wedding are cited as some of the reasons for this choice, with the cost of a wedding abroad totalling approximately one third of the cost of the average UK wedding.

For more information, visit Ionian Weddings  or call 020 8894 1991. You can also follow them on Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.

Wedding Trends for 2015

It’s been a while since I posted here and although we’re already one month into the new year (where did the last 4 or 5 weeks go?!) I’d like to kick off with a round up of what’s going to be hot and on trend this year. There are a lot of different ideas out there about what are going to be hot this year and these are a few of my favourites.

It’s worth saying that I think it’s important to be true to yourself rather than just following a trend purely for the sake of it, however it can be fun to incorporate the details and things that you really love that are current.

Last year rustic festival style weddings were huge but things are starting to lean more towards a luxe hippie style with sequins, bright colours and elegant chill out areas. Try adding small touches if you’re reticent or go the whole hog with sequinned table and chair dressings or even a sequinned wedding dress (or bridesmaids if they’re happy with that). Etsy Blog,

I’m a big fan of vintage style and mix ‘n’ match crockery brings a touch of bygone elegance to a garden party or informal marquee reception.

This blog entry from  Huff Post Weddings on wedding trends that need to be retired made me smile – not sure I altogether agree with banning a buffet although I take their point on hot food being cold by the time you get back to the table. We had a cold buffet and no seating plan which worked really well at our informal marquee in the garden reception, and I don’t remember anyone spilling food down themselves! We don’t seem to have the cocktail hour in the UK during a wedding reception – and having seen various episodes of Four Weddings US (purely for research purposes of course!) I think that’s a good thing. The amount of food consumed at cocktail hour and then at the wedding breakfast itself can be quite obscene and a waste of money, however I do like the idea of various food ‘stations’ to give guests a variety.

What do you think about the trends for the coming year? What are you going to be incorporating into your wedding, or will you be going all out sparkle?! I’d love to hear your comments and ideas so please leave me a message below….
